Corrections
Ozipedia publishes figures about tens of thousands of communities. Some of them will be wrong. This page is how that gets fixed.
What we correct
- Our errors — a wrong join, a mislabelled figure, a broken boundary, a sentence that misstates its own data. Fixed as fast as we can, and logged below.
- Source errors — where a federal dataset itself is wrong, we cannot change the source, but we can annotate the page. Tell us and we will.
- Stale figures — usually not an error but a vintage. Every figure is stamped; if a stamp is wrong, that is an error.
What we don't change
We do not remove or soften accurate figures because they are unflattering to an area. Crime rates, hazard ratings and affordability measures are reported as the data has them. We will always fix a genuine inaccuracy and always explain a methodology, but the numbers are not negotiable.
Reporting one
Tell us the ZIP code, the section, what is wrong, and a source if you have one. You can also email corrections@ozipedia.com, which reaches the same place.
